Dr. Steve Steffensen

HSS Director

Dr. Steffensen is the faculty director of HSS, teaching first year HSS seminar courses and advising HSS council in this role. He is a board-certified neurologist who teaches as an associate professor of neurology and population health at Dell Medical School. Among many other roles, he also directs the Health Leadership Apprentice Program.

Mark Hemenway

Academic Advisor

Mark enjoys having the opportunity to work with honors students from Orientation through graduation and is a good place to start with any questions related to UT. Mark is a recent recipient of the James W. Vick Award for academic advising.

Dr. Stacia Rodenbusch

Thesis Instruction

Dr. Rodenbusch teaches the Capstone thesis seminars and preparatory thesis workshops for Polymathic Scholars and Health Science Scholars. She also assists with recruitment and administration for DS, HSS, and PS. Previously, she taught honors biology courses at UT-Austin and served as the director of the Freshmen Research Initiative.

Dr. Sara Corson

Director of CNS Honors

Dr. Corson oversees the CNS Honors Center in its day-to-day operations including honors student programming and curriculum, honors program admissions and recruitment, faculty involvement and mentorship, and alumni support.
