Pre-Health Support
Dine in with Medicine
Dine In with Medicine (DIWM) is the signature annual event of the HSS Honors Program, offering pre-med students a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions about healthcare over dinner. Physicians from various specialties are invited to join students for an evening of insightful conversation and professional networking. The event also features a panel discussion where these distinguished medical practitioners share their experiences and insights, providing valuable guidance and inspiration to aspiring doctors in the HSS program.
Friday Lunches
Friday Lunches, hosted throughout the academic year, provide students with the opportunity to hear from a diverse array of professionals shaping the healthcare field. These include physicians, professors, researchers, and other experts. Each speaker shares unique insights, offering students a broadened perspective on what it means to be a leader in healthcare.
Prep Workshops
HSS Council also sets up free workshops for students to learn about important parts of the medical school application process. Workshop topics include building MCAT plans led by Kaplan, mastering the MMI interview, and working with upperclassmen on editing your personal statement essay.
